Werther: Short Synopsis
Welter, a poet, fell in love with Charlotte at first sight. She takes care of her family in place of her deceased mother. She has a fiancée whom her late mother has decided to marry. She refuses Welter’s confession of love and marries her fiancé. Welter, pessimistic by nature, chooses death.
