Falstaff: Short Synopsis

Falstaff, an old, fat knight, needs money. He sends love letters to two women at the same time.

The women who received love letters from him were friends. The four women unite around Alice. These women decided to punish Falstaff.

Fed up with Falstaff’s intransigence, the two squires tell Ford that Falstaff has sent love letters to his wife. Ford and five other men unite to punish Falstaff.

Alice sets a trap for Falstaff. Unaware of this, Ford mistakes it for an affair. People make a commotion at Ford’s mansion. Falstaff ends up in a laundry basket and is thrown further into the river.

Alice sets the trap again for Falstaff. Falstaff has fooled again. People cause a commotion in the park at night, but the problem is solved.
